Look for toy labels that give age and safety recommendations.
For children younger than 3, avoid toys with small parts, which could cause choking.
For those younger than 6, avoid sets with small magnets, which could cause serious injury or death if swallowed.
For those younger than 8, avoid toys with sharp edges and points.
Battery chargers and adapters can pose a burn hazard for children. Adults should supervise when batteries are charged.
Immediately discard plastic wrappings on toys.
