Consumerwarning.org has heard a lot of complaints about US Bank, however chalked it up to “you can please all the people all the time”, however our own experience has taught us that there may be more to the story. Recently after out deposit was “lost” we found it like pulling teeth to get the matter resolved and to actually speak to someone in a supervisory position. It’s been 5 days, and still no resolution and inability to speak to anyone that knows what’s going on at corporate. Stay tuned!
While we will be locating another bank ASAP as US Bank is apparently not concerned about its customers or in the process of going down the tubes like several other banks recently, we thought we would share some links to additional consumer stories:
US Bank has changed how they assess overdraft fees. Last night we made a purchase for $80. This transaction was after hours and still hasn't even posted to our account, but because we made this purchase yesterday, they went back and took every single purchase we made yesterday (even though we HAD THE FUNDS to COVER THEM and they posted YESTERDAY) and took the $80 purchase that still hasn't hit our account and used it to justify assessing a $37.50 charge on all 6 of our transactions. Even though this charge STILL has not hit and we made a deposit this AM prior to the charge hitting, they will not adjust these fees. If anything, there should be ONE fee on that ONE transaction as it was the LAST transaction to hit the account and was made WELL after 7pm MST. USBANK is a TOTAL SCAM!
